When Kagome entered her room after her bath she was disappointed to find that Inuyasha wasn’t there anymore. She sighed heavily, dressed in her pajamas and turned out the light, not really caring about anything. She felt empty and sad. She was glad that Inuyasha had apologized, but she wouldn’t lie to herself, she wouldn’t ever fully get over what happened.

Kagome was proud of herself. She had made the long walk to school by herself. Some of her confidence was slowly returning. Inuyasha's constant companionship and reassurances were helping more than she was willing to admit.
